J.D. Durbin won't make the trip to Tampa today. Manager Ron Gardenhire said yesterday he would, but Rick Anderson changed things up and Durbin is staying back.
The Twins will face Yankees righthander Jeff Karstens tonight in Tampa.

Is it an injury thing or a performance thing (or something else)?
Neither, really. Ron Gardenhire originally said they would like to see how Durbin does pitching a couple days in a row, but Rick Anderson switched things around after Gardenhire talked to the media post-game on Tuesday, and decided to give Durbin the day off. Durbin told reporters he could have pitched today.
